Martis Camp is the premier four-season property in the High Sierra. Golf

A Tom Fazio championship golf course opened in 2008. Noted for his creativity in course layout and characteristic bunker design, Fazio has created a course that wanders beautifully and quietly through the forest of Martis Camp and will likely be acclaimed as one of Fazio’s best courses in the world.

Skiing

In June 2007, Martis Camp and Northstar™ Resort announced the extension of Lookout Mountain’s ski slopes into the residential community of Martis Camp, giving Martis Camp owners private access to Northstar™ Resort skiing.  “This direct access to Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort puts Martis Camp in a class with only a handful of other residential communities in the Western United States.  It also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide a broad variety of unparalleled experiences within the Martis Camp community,” said Mark Johnson, Martis Camp General Manager. Now, Martis Camp owners can ski all of Northstar from their own private entry, take a breather mid-mountain on the deck at Northstar’s Ritz Carlton-Highlands (that opened in December 2009), or catch a cozy break at the Yurt, a private warming hut at the bottom of the Martis Camp lift.
